European Day Against Unnecessary Works

We, citizens, community and action groups signatories of the Hendaye Charter in 2010, call for all European citizens to stand up and make December 11th, 2010 one European Day of resistance on the issue of rail transportation.
We have long been sending our warning about the negative and unrevertable impacts of constructing new High Speed Railways and rail ferries, of privatizing their managements and of the growth of the public debt caused by these exceedingly expensive projects.
We firmly believe that unifying our struggles with all other scattered resistances on the issue of the Unnecessary Works, including the High Speed Railways, is inevitable and surely welcome.
For this reason, we invite all European citizens, community and action groups committed against these immeasurable and useless projects to join us on December 11th, 2010.
